Recognizing God at Work

Its amazing how we can recognize what God is doing in others - rejoicing in their progress, and having empathy when they fail. We offer ourselves to pray for them and take the time to share inspirational messages to encourage them along the way.

Yet, on the other hand, we can easily overlook or minimize the work God is doing in our spouse because it does not look the way we want or it's not happening as fast as we want. We do not offer the same empathy or encouragement we extend to others. Instead we complain "when are they going to get it!!" and pin point where they still lack.

Be careful not to break their spirit as they are going through the process of God's working in them. Extend the proper recognition, encouragement and support and choose to be an instrument God can utilize to help along the way instead of being a stumbling block.



"Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother." (Romans 14:13)

Choose today to give God thanks for His work in them regardless if they are big or small!!

For the spouse that is going through the process and not receiving recognition, encouragement or support - to you I say keep focusing on God and continue to allow Him to do the work in you. Although others may not see your progress, GOD DOES!  Be encouraged that you may not be where you need to be but you surely not where you used to be!!!!  Rejoice and give God glory!!!!!
